Heres an Idea how about converting some of the kids games into fighting scenario.
Duck duck goose- instead of outrunning duel
tag- for tag to be succesful must beat person in duel
red rover?
any other games?

we do something similar to red rover.

Fox cross the river.

Same idea only with a narrow bridge and the dog is the one who engages the fox, the fox may not attack first. Foxes can push fellow foxes off the bridge.

I?ve been contemplating a musical chairs game with the number of chairs 2 less than the number of players. When the music stops the two people with out a chair fight to see who will remain in the game.

Umm what ages are you guys assuming that these kids are. All of the kids at Andor fight with the rest of us and would be * off it you had them play "kid" games.

they would be * if you MADE them play the games. But if you play them and show them you are having fun playing them then they will care less as long as you are having fun.

True that.

Once again humbled your superior logic...

I think what Icarus asked was if there are any kid?s games that could be converted into fighting scenarios. Not what fighting games are available for kids.

I guess you have a point there. But the kids at Andor have just as much fun as us, and do exactly the same things. Have them do team battles, free for alls, vampire, etc.

Yeah

Seriously though we have a 6 year old named Sting The Decpitator who plays with us, who TRYS to take his hits so we do put up with him, hes probably the coolest one there

cool although I was just asking so that others can get some more info.
How about best weapons for the little kiddies maybe even scaleing weapons?

best weapons are stabing club and a bukler type sheild

*buckler is about the same as a round to us
*stabing club becaus most kids will hit with the flat and stab with a non staby in the heat of the moment.

I would just go with a med length light blue and a coreless punch.

wtv is good for them (no 2h weps or wood sheilds) let them pick

True, let them find out what they like. Don't only give them one option.

from the ages 8 to 12 I allow in most case the above mentioned. That way they can get one hand fighting down witout flating people left and right.

i actually started in a kiddie realm it was 12 to 21 years old at 21 you had to go down to dur-demarion but they would aloow 7 to 11 year olds to fight but parents must be present and aware that injury is possible they had waivers and allowed same stuff as belegarth their head herald was an adult for safety and legal issues but its version of the war council was head by 5 teenage girls and it worked very well for a long time it last about 5-6 years with a membership varing around and average number of fighters being 20-25 and the highest 40. they didn't have weapons restrictions it was just like little league baseball or peewee football you could do whatever you wanted AS LONG AS IT FELL UNDER THE RULES

if anyone wants any of the information the head of there version of warcouncil and another are members of the horde and i can probably get the info on how they did it

Circle of Death and CIrcle of Honor are two that would be cool with kids,
also a Meat Grinder battle.

okay this is a game i learned in P.E. today, desapite what you might think, this game has a lot of Belegarth options

this should mainly be done indoors, because i cant trust that everyone will stay within a boundry line

it requires 6 mats for 2 teams, (it can be less, but 6 mats is preferable) a captain to specifcley keep the mats up,and of course, weapons

its a bit like capture the flag, on each teams side there is a cone with a flag on it, it order to win, one team must capture the opponents flag

you use the mats to create cover, they must be standing straight up on their own

this game is great for battlefield stratagey and synchranization, it also can help with very close quarter combat, and even stealth if your a rouge, and can also tell you who would be a good battlefield leader

oh, and no everyone charging straight at the mats, thats illegal :P
