Oh, no, that's not what I was talking about. In fact, I don't think you actually sent this the officers, because I didn't receive it.

I was more referring to the 20 * people in this thread who were consistently posting things like "Hey, can I buy this?", "Can you make such and such?", "How much will this piece cost?", "What's your PayPal address?", and so on.

I need pictures of a morion.
Burgeonet-not yet.
Kettle-yes. But no one hasasked for one yet, so I haven't made it. It's on the list of do it just because after I finish my orders.
People have been asking for **** anime/d&d nonsense lately and it's hard to make work.
Why cant they see that historical helmet designs were used because they work and are comfy. Wearing a predator mask WITHOUT the space ages ventalationsystem sucks. Wearing an entire dragon on your head is heavey AND dumb.
The old stand bys are really the best.

Once I get a tad better at working links, I'll start offering chainmail services.

I can do 3-4 different weaves right now, and have the supplies to work with them.

How long have you been working on these?

(Only read a couple posts, if this has been answered already)

Comb doesn't always have to be that high, of course. It's mainly a squished in, folded down kettle hat with a deeper pot and a (bit of) crest.

Alot of those spaces look like they're more than 1/2". Which would be a * to determine when a class 4/5 hit one of those, or if it hit where there wasn't a gap.

Also it looks unsafe as ****. But thats just me.

And its rigid metal.

Edit because I'm an idiot : SCA helm. Derp.

I have a couple of Valsgarde style helms that I use very regularly on the field. The style is indeed rather comfortable to wear. It does allow some air into your head as long as you don't have a solid harness inside and tend to be slightly lighter than similar helms. They do require a lot more maintenance than other styles of helms (too many nooks and crannies to clean).

That's the helm on the right. It is steel, with rounded noseguard, no ocular, cheek plates or neck plates.

Really though, that helm looks like it carries Greek as well as Celtic and/or Scandinavian influence. Forkbeard has done all of the above.

I DO make helmets like that. I haven't put that exact artwork on one. If that is what you want, I could do it easily. I could even manage the crest. PM me.

oh I was not wholly paying attention to the original post, I just want to see this helm made. I could give a **** about 'illegal' protrusions. and if I were to have this made for myself I would have it done in metal, looking exactly like the original painting.

These masks are sick. I really like the indented eye work. The lighter colored mask with the black inset eye holes is particularly badass. How hard would it be to make one of these, with all the skull molding etc?

Back of head cover is an issue
