Just for your information, I found out that the Tandy Leather of St. Louis runs that price year round as a store sale, check with you local Tandy to see if they have any deals like that.

You should ALWAYS check with your local leather shop and ask them if they have a re-enactors discount. Most of them do. Sometimes it just amounts to a couple of bucks, but hey, better than nothing!

Well, it's not quite their usual sale, but check this out. It's a higher grade of the stuff that normally goes on sale, for $85 ($15 more than the sale price), or a lot less than normal.
There are some other neat leathers on sale in their sales flier too, including the really thick armor bends, tooling leather, and garment hides.
