That happy leather horse.

Would anyone be willing to argue it's safety?

I do know that the helms from http://valhallaleathercraft.com cost upward from $375+. One of my guys desided he had to have one :P

I always thought this would be awesome except for those four feather shaped things attached to the front back and sides. Maybe the top being domed instead of pionty. Not leather tho'

I don't think those parts in the front are penny-round. Doesn't look like it'd hurt anyone.

the issue 'might' be with the horses ears, a judgement call by the heralds. as for the chech ( idont think Ive ever written that word before) pieces, they should be fine.

That metal scale on the back of that one helm is just gorgeous. I love the look of scale like that, I just wish it were legal :( .

If they fail your helm, they would have to fail Angmarths to. One of my guys went to SW and had his helm failed for pointiness and had to cut off a bunch of parts, and Angmarth's was clearly more pointy by FAR.

Angmarth's points are leather, though, not thin sharp steel.

My helm is pretty pointy... look at those teath... But it is made out of flexible leather that could barley harm an ant. There is a point when leather becomes not flexible. Like that horse head on top of the helm. Usualy weapons testers don't have a problem with stuff like that when checking armor.

Also, the teeth don't protrude like the Numenorean helm. Angmarth's is leather, not steel. Protrusion is probably the biggest killer for steel armor, even if it is penny rounded. My steel helmet not worn has a protruding nasal guard, but wearing it causes it not to protrude.

I know its leather, my friends helm was leather. Weapons/Armor checkers at events need to know how to check armor properly. They failed my red leather armor for not being penny round. They failed his helm for being too pointy and it wasn't as pointy as other leather helms on the field.
