first leather boiling - questions

Postby Aperaltus » Tue May 30, 2006 8:06 pm

Okay, gonna boil me some bracers, but I have a couple of questions...

1. I was going to use an oil dye... do I need to do that first, or can I do it afterwards?

2. Rivet studs... can they be put on afterwards, or should it be done before?

3. Tooling and whatnot... can it be done before?

Thanks, guys.

Don't boil leather read this:

It's the best way to harden leather I've ever seen. I made all my stuff using exactly this method.
