Side of leather output

Hey all, I'm rather new to this, and a quick opinion from more experienced people would be very appreciated. Plus my search efforts were pretty fruitless to the subject.
That being said, I'm heading up to St. Louis this Friday to pick of a side of the 'Select Import Saddle Skirting' from Tandy Leather Factory.

My question is what kind of output do most of you usually get out of a side of leather for armor? I mean, how much armor are you generally able to produce. I'm a 6 foot male, so if you include your height, that can help me guage the differences as well.

It depends largely on what you're making and how much leather goes in to it, but assuming no screwups, you should be able to get a torso, helm, and maybe full arms or greaves or something like that.

Also a plus, I'm pretty thin. Not malnourished, but thin.

Greaves, bracers, simple torso, and pauldrons.
