This here's my second attempt at a hopefully soon-to-be iconic suit of armor. Pics are taken via phone, as I'm sure you can tell, so please bear with me.
Here's a glamour shot depicting the rib armor. This suit was designed to be adjustable due to my experimental dieting (Two months vegetarian, two months something else, and so on) and my urge to do something memorable over the summer. The only bits permanently attached are the buckles and belts.
Ah, the piece de resistance- The tooling on the back. I was given the nickname "Bear" at a young age, and it's stuck with me ever since. I figured I may as well put it to some use, so I got creative and did something truly unique. This is what truly sets this suit of armor apart from every suit I've done in the past. It is also what is tempting me to enter this particular suit of armor into the Crown Qualifications for Amtgard next month (I'm running for the position of Heir Apparent)
Thusfar, my plans are to dye it a watered-down brown, followed by an overcoat of blue, followed by a watered-down layer of black to give it an ethereal, earthy-dark-blue color, but I'm tempted to use green instead of blue. Any thoughts or opinions? Greaves are soon to follow, though I may get lazy and decide to make a war-skirt/kama instead.
