Warhammer Marauder of tzeench armor

Postby Siggard » Sat Nov 13, 2010 10:16 pm

I have now changed my mind and decided to go for marauder armor, which seems to be more practical, i should like some help on this armor type though...

I've helped lots of chaos personas get into charater. Here's some of the basic advise I've gave folk including fighters in my warband.

Read more lore that's not just Warhammer MMO. If you are wanting to play chaos just because of the MMO, don't.

Also look at lots of Warhammer chaos minis on google, codexes or where ever references you can find. I have a whole folder dedicated to chaos junk on my PC at work and home. From there you can make fighting legal ideas of what your character looks like. Try to build a picture in your head of what you want using references and such. It's like making any type of re-enactment gear but chaos themed. Then do your best to put it on paper.

Next you might try looking at chaos and Warhammer LARP from over seas. Euro-LARPs luckily do chaos justice in my opinion.

Image

After reviewing and planning take all the ideas in your head and put them on paper! if it can be drawn in the limits of the BoW armor rules, it can be made into real life armor.

Guy to the right of me (Worthane) plays a Tezzntch chosen.

After all this thinking, drawing and crafting you will get results.
I'm Belegarth chaos champion and so can you!

Skeith, your gear is absolutely flurb-tastic. Awesome stuff.

Thanks Dondarian, really appreciate it. I hope my armor might be inspiring for your future kit. With Forkbread helping you I'm sure it will look epic. I think having themed gear and looking good is important in Belegarth. Someone's fighting ability should be on par with their kit. Take pride in what you do!
Not only is it a good recruitment tool but also strikes fear into the cowards.

Also keep us posted on your progress Siggard. If you are anywhere close you should met up and fight with my warband.

Oh I for sure understood what ya meant Dondarian. Being called flurby is great. I go above and beyond when getting cool in-character stuff and trinkets. That last picture of me has my baby head pipe hanging from my side.

Not thick enough.

That ones 8/9 oz leather. You need at least 12/13 oz.

Before you even consider purchasing those, email the manufacturers and ask them if they are capable of standing up to high intensity combat. If nothing else, ask the makers if they will hold up to SCA levels of abuse. If they can, you're getting a product that will last you a while.
