Is $4.99/lb a good price on armor grade leather from tandy, or should i wait a little longer?

Just get a full side of saddle skirting when its on sale for $99 which is fairly often.

I have no idea what kind of leather per pound they are selling for 4.99...gonna have to be a bit more specific.

its the right size and all, its also a good price for weight. the only problem you might have is that it comes in the form of something like a bag of leather scraps, most of the pieces will not exceed 4in by 4in or so

i plan on buying from the store. i have a tandy store about 5 miles from my house.
which is a better deal. this or the saddle skirting (which is on sale now for $99)

It's a good price, but keep in mind that the sole bends are both smaller than the saddle skirting and significantly harder to work.

That said, it's great for armor as pretty much 100% of the piece will be armor grade/usable for armor, while the same cannot be said for the saddle skirting.
