I've been threatening to start making samurai armor.
Nows the time. I'm making some for myself, becuase I'm dumb.
Magnus is also making some.
I'm going to be making patterns anyway.
Is anyone interested in Samurai Armour?

It is times like this that I wish I had about a grand just lying around to burn. :(

(especially since I have a Japanese-themed fantasy character anyway)

QFT

I was missing that link as well after reloading Windows several times because of the stupid viruses that were floating around last year.

Though my dream armor set is fantastical and isn't what would be considered authentic samurai armor, the info in that link has still been very helpful with the envisioning of my armor's design. My desired armor fits within the general design of samurai armor, but does not entirely match any specific time period and would have some moderate, but very noticeable artistic deviations.
(E.G: in the stylization of the Dô, the shape of the Sode, and in the addition of a stylized multi-panel war skirt; which unlike its early-period historical counterpart, won't hang from the Dô (chest armor))

After you make yourself some, I'd be willing to talk pricing on things piecemeal. I was very taken by the gold samurai armor at Samhain.
