so uh question for a friend...

So a friend of mine who's made a samurai kit is working on another one and asked me to inquire on whether or not it's legal to use plastic lace (rexlace) in place of leather lace to hold it together.

Sure, it can be done. Paracord would look better, though.

I believe he wants to use the rexlace because it lays flat on the surfaces as well as for the color. Blue leather with orange lacing.

Again paracord would do both of those as well as hold up much better to the abuse as well

You can take the core out of paracord and bam it lays flat.
