I personally haven't tried it but I remember someone saying it was crappy to dye leather or wore off too so or something. The applications is different from standard dye. Either way here is the how to do the application. Alot more work if you ask me.

I have never had a problem with those dies provided the leather is properly sealed after.
It will rub off and wash out if not sealed though.
