This is the original helmet, plus Zuloo's old shield, but thats not really important for this.
this was originally all I was planning to do to the helm, during events and such, or at least at feast I paint those onto my face at the same time. not really sure why, thought they looked cool. but the helm still didn't feel like mine yet.
step 2 of personalizing it. my tongue in cheek position in my unit is the "Mercenary King" we decided I should have a crown then. Still looked cool, but from here we had an idea for a much more radical paint job
first step was to tape up the parts that I wanted to remain black. Though honestly I kind of liked the grey/silver look, if someone did this with paint instead of duct tape I think it would look really good.

from there you peel off the tape, and I chose to redraw the symbols on there, just for funsies
from there its just a matter of touching up anywhere where the tape may have left marks. which it tends to do.
