I got a set of Steel Pauldrons and they are meant to strap into a Gorget but currently the gorget I have cannot be worn with any degree of comfort (chokes and digs in steel gorget) So I decided to just buy a leather Gorget but its gonna be two whole weeks before it is "estimated" to arrive. Anyone know of any good technique's to strap them across the chest even though they only have a buckle strap for a gorget?

Picture would help. But why not just make a leather strap with a buckle to attach to the existing buckle that loops under the opposite arm pit

Just point them onto the shoulders of your arming coat/gambeson/pourpoint.

If you don't have one of those, get one. You can't wear 14th Century and later armor properly without one (there were no non-cuirass-integral (see: lorica segmentata) plate shoulder armors before that time).
