Organizing Tools and Materials

So I was cleaning my basement over the weekend, mainly where I work on armor. I threw away a bunch of clutter and non-essential bs and really boiled down all of my armor making necessities into a nice 3 shelf metal tool box like you would see in a garage. It has really streamlined the time it takes for me to work leather. I think its done enough for now, but I want to do the same for my foam smithing and sewing since I spend a lot of time doing those things as well. Does anybody on here have a good solution to workspace clutter with armoring, foam work, or sewing? I would love to see pictures.

I have what amounts to a pegboard in a box that I keep all of my leather stamps in. Keeps them vertical so I can skim through them quickly and find what I am after. Also has room for a rawhide mallet and my swivel knife, along with a few other marking/shaping tools. For everything else, I have a compartmentalized toolbox that looks kind of like a briefcase with a clear front. Everything has its own hole, and there is a long compartment for things like my leather shears and brushes.

For foamsmithing, I just have a cardboard box that all of my tape and knives live in. Not as organized there, yet.

I use cheap plastic shoe boxes to store my tape and my rope. For razors, marking utensils, and scissors, I have a desktop organizer with drawers. For sewing stuff, I have a bookshelf with all my cloth folded on it, and a big 3-drawer organizer under my worktable that holds sewing utensils, scrap leather, and misc. stuff that I don't know what to do with.

Semi-organized. I mean, I know where everything's at.

When you get srs about leather tooling, pick up one of these bad boys:

There's room for various sizes of stamps, setters, swivel knives, and so on. There's also a cheaper plastic version, but the wood one is rad.

Ouch, I didn't know tandy was selling them for $50. Kinda steep isn't it? I made mine out of a length of 2x4 with a drill press. It is really helpful, much better than just keeping them in a drawer or something.

I have an elite membership, so it was only like $25 for me at the time.

(As a side note, if you're getting serious about leatherworking, absolutely pick up an elite membership. It's like $150/year, and it will save you tons of money. I've probably saved at least $600 or more on tools and supplies this year alone.)

I got mine and in one big supply purchase, I ended up saving enough money to not only pay for the membership, but also save me about fifty dollars.
