So in looking through the rules, it states simply that large diameter chain should not catch fingers. My question is is there some recommended gap size I should be shooting for? Right now I've done a few drawings and I'm looking at 3/4" OD 12 gauge. I've got a suit of armor that calls for a larger diameter chain aesthetic. Does anyone have any experience with this size chain? Or a hard and fast measurement of what diameter rod shouldn't be able to fit through the rings? Also, I'm aware that 12 gauge will be heavy, weight isn't the concern, passing check is. |

If you intend to cross-game with Dag, they now require that a weave be tight enough that a 3/8" rod cannot pass through it, so that might be a good density to shoot for. |

Thanks for catching that. Edited my post. |

Yeah, I didn't even think to look at the Dag rules. I do find it amusing though that they establish minimum spec for non chain metal thickness at 19 gauge, but nowhere list the minimum chain thickness. That said, I will go back and redo my drawings to accomplish a 3/8 interference fit. |

To my knowledge, we (Dag) no longer have a minimum thickness for the metal.Feel free to post pictures eventually -- I'm curious what you're planning. |
