Currently there are only two realms in Ontario, one being in London and the other being in Ottawa. I am unsure of these realms prevalence but both are quite a ways away from the GTA. I'm looking for people who live in or around the GTA that would like to help. Any takers?

Best of luck with your new realm! My advice is pick a public and highly visible place to practice. Pick a practice time and be there every single time. Start by getting one or two friends to practice with you, and recruit from local high schools and colleges. Use Facebook to network with people with similar interests in your area (gamers, etc.). If you need help with gear, send me a PM. Good luck, again!

I'm the realm leader of the London group.

Reddit has been a great way for us to get a few new people with each season. You might also try to reach out to anyone interested in cross gaming around the GTA who are involved in Amtgard and LARP. I know that there is a guy who is interested in starting a realm in Hamilton, but due to medical issues, he can't start it just yet. Good luck in your search, and if you need any help, Malkier will road trip.

Hi I live in Brantford and have friends in Hamilton and we are interested in joining a Brantford/Hamilton Belegarth group. Has your group been established yet? If so when and where do you meet?

Hey! I'm with Thunder Guard (Thunder Bay, ON). You actually bumped a thread from two years ago. I have no idea what, if anything, happened with Longarm's group startup.

Ontario has a Waterloo area group called Northrend led by Xyston (John Omelijaniuk). They're fairly small and don't have speaking / voting rights at this time. I messaged him for more info and will get back to you once I have details.

There's an Amtgard group in the Toronto Area - Twilight Peak. You could see if any of their members are interested in trying Belegarth. Just be careful in how you approach this - You don't want to steal their members. Maybe try going to some of their practices and talk to their group leaders about it first. Sometimes this sort of thing works out well, other times crossgaming becomes a dramatic train-wreck where the two groups are at each others' throats.

Akroth, is the group in Waterloo Bel? I don't have them on the realm map.

Yeah they're Bel - Xyston was with Thunder Guard for a number of years and started something when he moved for university.

I'm not sure how consistently they meet and don't have much else to go on in terms of realm info.

Any idea how to contact them, or maybe just get them to fill out the realm info survey for me?
