Please tell me what you think about this flier. Any ideas on improvement? Rewording something? Different pictures? Whatever you think should be different. Please keep in mind that if you are not critical, then I will not improve. Please be as mean as you want.

In general, I like it. Great work!

I have a few suggestions that I think might make it even better.
- Make the text bullet points instead of a paragraph (what, where, when, etc)
- Make the "must be 16 to fight" small text under your bullet points

Image suggestions-
- In general images that show people's faces are better (more pleasing to look at) and all 4 of your bottom images have lots of backs of the heads. I would suggest swapping out 1 or 2 of them with a single line of fighters from the front (like a charge)
- I like the top image as a display of what we do - most people in garb, looking like they are having a good time, etc - however, on my monitor it seems a tad out of focus. I am not sure if that is a scaling issue or what.

I think the monotonous text is the weak point. Breaking it up as above suggested or even varying font sizes (not fonts) will also serve to make it more pleasant to read. "Belegarth Medieval" font could look a little more... well medieval.

The pictures are a great way of conveying the fun and excitement of Belegarth. Some do that well, others seem not to convey much.

I like it, but all in all I would say it's too picture heavy, and unless you are going to pay Kinko's to make up a bunch of these fliers, you might want to think about removing some of the pics.

put a + after 16 (16+).

Make the title font something other than sloppy bold. I prefer something crisp and clean that you can still read from 10 paces away, however a more stylish font works too.

WAY TOO IMAGE HEAVY!

The top image can be edited to take out the trash can and the car and still look good.

the middle two images just toss. In there place put the bulleted info. the five Ws and age. Hell I might redo it for yeah so you understand what I'm saying.

Edit: redid it for yeah in the way I was talking about.

Savetuba, I like your flier better then mine. What editing software did you use?

Denara, the picture is a bit off because of the software I'm using. If I can get a good program, I shoudn't have this problem. It will be fixed.

I used photoshop cs. Feel free to use that one if you want to. In hindsight it should probably say 16+ to participate... And yes I do this a lot at work. Being the head graphics guy at a newspaper rocks.

Also the top pic is slightly blurred. I tried fixing it, but as you can see it isn't the greatest fix. Also the bottom right pic could be changed out with a close up action shot of 2+ people.

just a question is this just for your realm that you have to be 16 or older to fight in or all realms? because if it is in all realms then i take offence i am 14 and i have been fighting with boffers since i was about 7 and real swords since i was 12 and im not afraid to get a few bumps and bruises ive been in organizations where i fight against full grown men and that was when i was 12 so please dont tell me i wont be able to fight just because im 14

coming to your personal realm is up to your realm leader... coming to national events are almost all 16+

We've got a guy in our realm whose been fighting since he was 11. His first event will be spring war next year.

Photoshop is great for photo editing and whatever use you want it for.

I currently use Photoshop CS2 for about everything I do, fliers, images, avatars, and sig images.

I always go with more elaborate things on my fliers... like parchment background, burnt edges, and try to get some nice paper.

Yeah, I know what you mean Xiloc, I've been fighting with plastic swords, wooden swords, metal swords, those big poofy sparring swords since I was able to stand practically. But I'm sure the age limit is all just a precuation with no offense intended. (In general) most 14 year olds wouldn't be big enough in weight and height to take some of the hits that you possibly could in this.

you have to be 16 in your area? its 14 to practice and 16 to go to events by me

Many realms lower the participation age for local practices. It's entirely up to the realm's government as no one is forced to use the book of war line by line for anything except official national events, like Armageddon and perhaps Chaos War.

The first one after that date....

You HAVE to be 16, there is no "Well if you round to the end of the month."

That said, a number of smaller local events allow younger fighters. You'll need to check with whoever is running the event.
