Regaurding noobs

Just a friendly thought: When I was seeking armor sites for my son, I only found that you existed because I was doggedly combing through pages of info. coughed up on Google in relative terms to my search. I happened upon you while scrolling down about halfway on page five or so. If you want more folks to know about your tourneys and to become active members, you need better web visibility. You'll be happy to know, however, that you are listed with Wikipedia, and they give a brief intro. Hope this helps, and I'll attend one day. Thanks, Noob Cursed Kate of Corvus Warband, SCA

I've been saying as much for a long time now. However, I would not send any new person to these forums. These forums are not new person friendly.

Case in point:

Our Wikipedia entry was deleted numerous times before it was finally pieced together several months ago. It currently only consists of about 4 sections and maybe two paragraphs of introductory material. It is rated as "Stub" class, and "Low Importance." Dagorhir's entry is twice our material, and SCA double theirs. With all the information on Geddon.org, it is mind-blowing to me that we have not expanded our Wikipedia entry to at least Dagorhir's content level. I appreciate the work of those who saved our entry in it's most recent incarnation, but would also hope it can continue to grow.

seconded. im still pretty new and whenever i have questions about events and stuff people usually give a quick, decent, and respectful answer even if the question is obvious. besides, the only way for us noobs to get any better is by reading the forums and going out and fighting.

as my main man Bruce says, "Experience is everything."

EDIT: and speaking of experience... this is my 100th post :P

once you post you are doomed to be harassed by the board trolls

The mods are trying to keep the harassment to a minimum... as should we all. Can't say it'll completely stop, which is sad... but as a good friend says, "If we don't pick on you, it means we don't like you." We just need to make sure things don't go too far to chase people off.

In Rowan's defense, I hear it was a really cute pie, and that the pie made the first move.

Sorry, I don't know why you are so angry, I really did not mean to start, anything.(now or THEN) But as you wish, mention of W.M. will never pass my fingers, in this forum, again.

"give a quick, decent, and respectful answer" mostly :P

When I first began posting I received the same replies, nearly all helpful. Due to lack of fighters in the area I lost motivation and reason to post here, but due to a new rise, I'm back.

And this is what asshats do when they're too dumb or lazy to come up with an original comment.

I really hope it was a real edible pie and not a certain pie person. ;) 'Cause we all know since a certain movie all guys want to see what a pie feels like when it isn't in our mouths. :oface:

Relax bud, I'm just giving you crap. I don't know anything about the subject except what is insinuated, and truely, I really really don't care. What I was trying to portray was that it was a good post, which you agree. So enjoy yourself, it's a celebration.
