Combat sport and LARP awareness

Postby Brennon EH » Fri Nov 20, 2009 11:19 am

I wrote up an article based on the results of a survey I had done that details some information about market awareness for our various sports. Go give it a look and let me know what you think: http://www.electricsamurai.com/main_pag ... ir=General

This survey was done by a professional market research company.

Any way we could get these numbers condensed into charts and graphs? I could do it myself, but I'd rather you do it for me, Brennon.

Big thanks for doing this, btw. This is something I've been thinking about for pretty much my entire two-and-a-half years in MCS. With data like this, action plans can be developed. Yay!

If they don't take it, then it wasn't sufficient.

I greatly appreciate this link. Now if we only had a reason for the retention issues...

On the esam boards the data is inconclusive. In my seven years of playing, I've noticed these specific reasons.

1. Boredom
2. Finances
3. Personal conflicts
4. Burnout
5. Change in lifestyle

Allow me to add, lack of consistent availability of local, well-run events. Lots of people I've seen just drift away.

Alot of times if you don't play in Big events like Chaos Wars you end up getting kind of shunned. Now i don't mean that with offense to anyone in my group, you been my friends for a lot of years, but you get pushed to the sides and it can be a little infuriating, part of the reason I fell out when I did
