A QR (quick response) code is a barcode that can contain a lot of information in a small space. They have a lot of uses, but in practical terms, if you have a smart phone, you can download an app that'll allow you to scan a QR code which usually leads your phone to a website. This one in particular takes you to the Belegarth homepage.
So, for example, if you slap this code on a flier at your local comic book shop and somebody with a smart phone passes by and wants to know more, they can scan the code and go straight to our homepage. Oftentimes, if I'm just walking around and I spot a flier with a url, I'll forget about it by the time I get home, but if there's a QR code, I can look it up on my phone and bookmark for future reading (like on the bus, or at the bank etc.). There's no reason not to use them.
