Come to the War of Silica Vale III

June 1st - June 3rd, 2012 at Ed Levin County Park, Milpitas, CA (just east of San Jose). The site boasts tons of room to camp out in, with a large fighting field. We're close to services and within minutes of a major airport for those willing to fly in (SJC - San Jose-Mineta International), and within a reasonable distance of OAK and SFO for those who want more options. Drop me a PM if you need transportation from SJC or BART to the event.

This Dagorhir event is rapidly growing and is becoming one of the premier events in California (along with Battle for the Ring and Fool's Raid). Fighters from all over California and from neighboring states come to enjoy our warm days and cool evenings in the hills East of San Jose. Prevailing weather patterns make rain highly unlikely for this event (or for our fall event, Harvest Massacre). Cross-gamers are welcome to join us, as more people make the event even more fun. Belegrim who've attended previous of our events at this site have come from local realms like Salamandastron, Saracor, Pelargir as well as further flung groups like Fortriu, Sword Coast, Anduril and so on.

I might end having to be in Pleasanton this week so I might just extend my stay. I will let you know when things get closer.

ok so me and two of my friends are just starting a realm. I moved out here from Illinois where i had been fighting for several years. My two friends have not fought yet and i think you guys are the closest to us.(we live in marysville CA) I was just wondering about what is the fee of the event and will there be any accommodations for food (aka will there be a feast). also sense we are very very new i was hoping that maybe any realm would be kind enough to let us borrow 3 loaner swords or know if anyone will be selling weapons? If someone could get back to me quickly i would very much appreciate it.

Hey, welcome to the Wild West!

The event is $5 per person, plus there's a $12 a day fee for overnight parking (per car or truck). There's an optional feast for $5 a head, which includes the Saturday night feast and a pancake breakfast Sunday morning.

I don't know if folks are selling weapons, but it happens. It is likely that we can scrounge up some loaners for you, as we like to help out new folks getting going.

So definitely plan on coming down to Silica Vale. There will be lots of folks from around NorCal so we can probably connect you to more events and realms.

My 2 partners in crime and I will definitely be going and I couldn't be more thrilled! I am looking forward to meeting yall.

I'm planning on swinging up there Friday and/or Saturday. Just gotta figure out work. Should be fun. Look forward to getting back in the fighting shape for Chaos.

Damnit, most of my family lives in that area, closer to San Jose tho. Next time I'm headed down there, I'd love to throw some stick with the locals.

Our regular Saturday practice is in Sunnyvale, at Lakewood Park. Swing by any time you're in town.

One more thing that I forgot to mention. It's been a Mallenorod tradition to thank the realm that traveled the furthest to attend that their event fees are pair for them (you still pay for parking though - that's a County charge we can't avoid).
