I think one of the main problems is that there are many new recruits whom don't understand why there is were a split to begin with.

Then make a sticky, available for the new people, and leave it in the New Members forum. Then if someone asks, you can send them there.

Sweeping the dirty stuff back under the carpet, are we? Well, that's your right. But different people care about different things. If we care about this, that's our right.

I promise you I won't bring it up in a thread where it's not relevant... but otherwise, your brilliant "it's stupid" logic and your bold "nobody should care anymore" judgment won't go very far to sway my opinion that focusing on aspects of the past can sometimes help correct things for the future.

Based on your tone, I think you're the one who has things to "get over."

I'm all for that idea. Hell, as much as its brought up it could probably have its own forum... but why waste the space? Just sticky it at the top of General Mayhem or in the Newb section.

No, we're not going to have an explaination page or thread dedicated to why we split off from Dagorhir 7 years ago.

I wouldn't want that to happen.

I think it's important for Dag to stick around, so we're constantly reminded to be humble.

Yes, it should be deleted. In fact, it should have never been made.

I find it funny that people in this thread are so pro-censorship, while so many people are protesting the concept of a word filter.

Some people find the topic of the Dag-Bel split annoying, other people find swear words annoying. Some people want to outright stop discussion of Dag-Bel, others want to just change the form of swear words (though not the expression of those ideas).

I'm expecting flack for this, so throw it at me if you've got it.

Has it really been 7 years.... Sigh.... :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: Where has the time gone...
You might have thought me vain, however that is not the truth, no my friend, I see myself as more or less your equal, well from the waste up at any rate, but I am just going on what your girlfriend told me so...

Nah Owen, I'm thinking six at most: The split was one of the fallouts from Rag XVI in 2001, and the one coming up is XXII. (22-16=6). If this year's event is Arm Six (the header in the event forum says 7, but the posts from last year talked about Arm 5 (V). The sixth year of the event is held five years after the first one... Add a little time prior to Arm 1 for the formation of the new entity, and viola - less than six years.
Come to a California event, we only bite when we're Zombies!
