Next year at the begining of Spring a fan film based on He-Man and the Masters of the Universe will be in production. I need as many warriors as possible to participate as the Royal Army and the Undead Army. You have to be able to commit a two day weekend and be able to take direction. Sorr but a minimum age of 16 is required. Children may come but not participate. If this sounds lke something you would be interested in please contact Tony at tyno90@hotmail.com. Again this will not take place unitl next year, but commiting now would make it easier to plan for the shoot. Again this is totally voluntary. Tony

i'm sure some people in Dun Abhon would be happy to participate. I suggest that this age limit be lowered depending on the amount of people you are attempting to get in on this.

not going to lower the age limit becuase I do not want any children. I I think 16 is low enough, I got to acctually play for the first time the other day. There were these two teenagers who thought they were the greatest thing in the game. Then I started to beat them. They each yelled at me like I was a child. I am a 25 year old Marine, I just grinned and nodded and then I destroyed them both. My point is I saw that Teenagers are bad enough when it comes to playing," don't wanna hurt there wittle feeling by acctually beating them." I don't want children in the mix. Besides these are suppose to be Army's and there are no children in Army's

Ok, stupid question...what is Dun Abhon?

Dun Abhon is the Louisville, KY realm.

There about 50 fighters or so, about 20 - 40 at any given practice.

under 16 (over 13) counts for about 1/2 of the realm. Under 13 (hobbits) count for about 1/4 and the rest are over 16.

It's a fairly young realm, but we have plenty of experienced fighters who have gone to national events.

We could pull in Dimma Ulfur, Nelderoth, and some other surrounding groups to bolster numbers.

At War for the Roses, a local one day event, we had about 50 qualifying fighters.

Some of Dun Abhon's best fighters are under 16 but over 13. Dagganoth, for example, I believe is 15, and I know Matthias is 15 as well, and they are both really good fighters.

No member of our realm (over the age of 14) comes to mind that would ever even consider do anything like that. I think many would vouch for this. Our guys can take their hits and serve back some pretty good ones as well.

sounds like a blast. sadly i'm in ohio.

But people...come on, he says the age limit is 16. If it were up to me, it would be 18. if you're under 16, then drop. sorry for the harsh words, but i feel it's necessary for this list of current replies.

I want 16 and over because these are suppose to be Army's. I want some maturity, I mean even though this is a fan film its still a movie that is being made. I wont lie, I will probably bend here at the age limit depending on the individual person. But I really want atleast 16. I am sure that there are some amazing fighters out there that are under 16, but remember this is not going to be a free for all. This is going to be a staged fight with multiple takes. Oh, and Dacian, I don't care if your from Ohio, if you want to participate then your more than welcome. I want atleast 50 people for each side, so as to have a really great battle scene. Where does the Dun Abhon meet? Is it at Cherokee Park?

Indeed. Cherokee park sundays 2 until dark. Hogan's Fountain.

I'll probably be out there today, the problem is rain. May not be many of us... If any.

Ya, I was there a few weeks ago. I was the guy in the kilt. I was really hoping that there would be more people who would want to participate in this. I mean its a chance to be in a movie, fan film aside. I don't care if they arent from Louisville.

ok, sounds good. I'll be there. You said that no one over 16 will want to participate, does that mean your not feeling it either?

Just a note... because you are are looking at a little more in numbers, Belegarth is not the only pool to draw from in Louisville. The Barony of the Flame, the local SCA barony meets at UofL on Tuesdays.

I believe there are Amtgaurd fighters here in Louisville somewhere as well.

Of the other battle groups, I don't know.

The fan film is gonna rock... I've been a part of a few fan films. (Behind the scenes) but this will be my first time in front of the camera...

Hopefully with all the realms & people involved we can make the battle scene look better than Tales from the Seventh Fleet. (A fan film that takes Star Trek into the realm of shame)

BTW... I'm Ram Man... Damnit! :))

This fan film is going to be done as proffessionally as possible. I want this to be as good as *. That is why I want to use these Realms, I know that everyone here takes this sport seriously and would not want it to be portrayed poorly by ameturs.

I know that there is also a NERO group that meets a little west of here that I'm a part of. Most over the members are over 18, so there's no problem with the age limit.

I have made a decision, I am going to start shooting this year. It will be in a few months simply because I have to make the freakin costumes. But I will start shooting this year and hopefully be finished before it gets to aweful cold. So I need as many warriors as I can get, again atleast 50 for each side and at a minimum of 16 years old. Any exceptions will be made by myself and me alone. It will depend on skill, size and ability to take direction. I don't care what game you play, Belegarth, re-enactments, NERO etc. I need people. I also need a decent number of archers, only becuase its in the script. All participants will recieve recognition for their contributions. I will try to be at the Dun every other Sunday, but this coming Sunday and the Following Sunday I will be at both. Any questions can be directed at me or Rick, AKA Darth Mooby. :armor1:
