Where's the bunk space at?

Bunk space is most likely in the trailers that are already on site near the shower house.

Tulio - I have no idea where we will set up. If they have started building the cabin there we may just have to move. We can discuss it later.

So what would the ettiquete be for spears under this rule set? I am used to called double green, so that other fighters know. When fighting, would I call red?
Or are we not doing that at all?

First 100 ? I didn't know there were that many bunks at the park...

Also, The camping area on this map; http://www.stickjock.net/Home/Map

Isn't quite right. The Southwest corner is staff housing.

Rough Draft;

There's probably room to sleep 100 in the Nero Trailers. Bunk beds stacked 3 high, about 5 / trailer.

Those are the ones being made available to early sign-ups. Anything else that is done by that time is just an added bonus.

Pretty good talent confirmation so far: Lief, Arthon, MHoG, and Galin have all confirmed.

Man, I so want to go to this.

But my dad is getting back from a year-long stay in India and Sri Lanka and I really need to get some father-son time in.

Also I am having trouble getting people from my local group to go to this with Okfest coming only a month later.

ARGH.

can we get a clarification on the spear rules, is it green, 2, or what for a twohanded spear shot.

in bel it would be double green, or just double, if one are comes off we call single, or 1, usually single. hope that helps the answer.

Stabs are one point from Melee weapons, regardless of number of hands or weapon types. It's a simplicity issue.

3.2.2.2. Class 2 (Great Melee) Weapons cause two points of damage to the Target Area when wielded two handed in a slashing or swinging manner. Thrusts from a Class 2 Weapon only deal one point of damage.

Arrows basically ignore armor.

See, now, I like this. I had the same idea during the last "pool cue shot" discussion I saw: If ALL green damage just did one point to all target areas, it wouldn't matter any more! Please report back on how this works, LoW eventgoers!

Magnus: Is it a travel issue, cost issue, or a time-off issue?

It's mostly a travel issue--since I'm not sure I can go, I don't want to reserve plane tickets, and while driving there would certainly be very economical, it is almost 14 hours each way, which I don't want to do solo.

I'm working on my guys, to see if I can get at least one person to come out. As I said, I really want to be there!

Hi All! I am new to the forums on Belegarth, but I fought with friends in high school as part Babylon in Bend, Oregon. I am not very skilled since i haven't picked up a sword in 2 years but I would like to get back into it. I messaged one of the realm leaders in chicago seeing how its the closest realm but I have not received a reply. I have been trying to get a hold of them for the past month so that way I could warm back up and maybe find camping/fighting buddies for the Lord of War event. So if anyone has speken with either of the realms in chicago please let me know. I am staying at the Great Lakes Naval Training Station and I am pretty sure there isn't anyone who would like to give me a ride or even stay. So if anyone would like to talk PM me and I will respond ASAP. My phone number is 571-315-5404
I won't be able to use it until the 1st because that is when I get payed but until then anyone who would like to help let me know.
Thank you all ^_^
P.S. Email messerjacob@hotmail.com

Lord of War is upon us!

The weather is going to be from the low 60's at night to the mid 70's during the day, with a chance of some rain on Friday. Should be beautiful: http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/6 ... pla=10-day

Please take a few moments to gloss over the MCR and make sure you bring gear and garb that will meet all the requirements. We aren't going to be crazy-strict about the garb, but please make a good effort. We will be strict about the safety requirements, so plan ahead: http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dgtvspq8_20hmz8cpfb

I'm heading out tonight (Tuesday) so I can get everything organized before hand. If you need anything or have any questions, shoot me a PM. All information needed is at www.Stickjock.net.

I had to come back today for work, but this event was awesome. Yesterday was the most fun I've ever had sword fighting.

Anyone that knows me knows how much I actually get out and swing stick (maybe 2 hours on average /day on a national field) and I swung stick for almost 6 hours yesterday.

The fighting on Saturday was indeed a lot of fun.

Mad props to Brennon for devising the clever scenario fights. Team Hellhammer/Texas/EBF rocked the house...

This summer marks two years of fighting for me, and Lord of War was my seventh event. During this time I have felt like my abilities have improved little by little here and there and I began to feel like I was forming some idea of what I was doing.

This event brought so many new elements to the table that I felt like a newbie all over again. I extend my thanks to all who served as my teachers this past weekend, old faces and new faces alike. It is an extremely valuable experience to have one's ego and bad habits exposed and broken down so they may be rebuilt more humble and more effective than before.
