Announcing The Gathering 2009!
June 27th at Huntington Beach Central Park
Starts at 10am - all day event.

Come one, come all! The Gathering is a Live Action Role Play event brought to you by the LARP Alliance - a Non-Profit Education based and Charitable Corporation - a major contributor to the Universal film Role Models! This is the Big Event where the local LARPers get together from different groups and games and genres at a single place and time. Cross-LARP games and vendors will be in abundance!

The Gathering works for the non-LARPing public as a "Job Faire", where people interested in LARP can come and ask questions, see demonstrations or get in on the action themselves in a non-pressure and no cost environment for each of the LARP groups in our region. We plan on having workshops and classes teaching live combat with LARP weapons, as well as other demonstrations! The Academy of Arms will be in attendance as our special guest, a non-profit school dedicated to the study and practice of the historical European martial arts!

Information on upcoming LARP events of all types will be available, as well as many LARPers promoting their group or system!

If you are a LARP owner, please have flyers available to us to bring to the Gathering, otherwise we invite you to attend and set up a booth. Raise up your flags and banners and let them wave proudly on the green! Dress to the hilt, and let people know what your game is about!

If you are new to LARP, or want to learn more, please consider attending this event. We are holding it at Huntington Beach Central as a centralized point for most of the people on our Meetup system, and we hope you can make it out!

We will be holding the first game for ERIAL, the game inspired by the LAIRE game in the movie Role Models!
