Fighting near Argos, IN?

Postby Alric » Wed Jun 17, 2009 11:53 am

Hey everybody,

I play Dagorhir in Pennsylvania, but I'm in Argos, IN for the next two months and was wondering what the nearest fighting options would be. I know there are some Dagorhir guys an hour away in the South Bend area. Is there anybody else nearby (Dag, Bel, Amt - something else? I've never done SCA and don't have the gear, but I'm willing to learn!) and if so, when do you practice?

alric (at) drentha.com

Thanks!

Here's a really sweet map Derian did similar to mine(I kind of stole his idea):

Thanks for the map! It says the nearest Bel realm is 100+ miles away... figures!

And, to going to see you Sunday - I'm in Indiana for a summer Latin course (intermediate, at Notre Dame in South Bend), and classes start the first day of Rag *insert disgusted face here*. I might make the end of Rag... my prof hasn't answered any of my emails though, so no idea if he'll be expecting me to spend the whole weekend translating things, or if I can skip town and catch Friday and Saturday's fighting.

You gonna be at Summer Wars? It's only 150 miles from here in Argos, and I might be making the drive (again, Latin permitting).

Will be back at home, which adds 300 miles onto the trip, and they're bad times of the year for me.

I'll run into you sooner or later!

Not sure where Argos IN is exactly, but this weekend is the Kingdom of the Rising Winds (Amt) midreign in Brazil IN. If you google search Fallen Rock Camp Ground Brazil IN you'll get directions or at least an address.

This weekends big battle games are Pirate Ship Battles themed. The current Monarch of RW is doing a Pirate themed reign. Go figure. Should be a good time.

There's also a Dag realm in Brazil, Dunland. They've got some good people there.

Argos, IN is about two hours away from Brazil. Hebron, IN, is under an hour and a half, though I have no familiarity with the local group, Aethenu.

Yah that Dag page is lame as ****. The Wildwood link points to a website that says I'm the secretary.

That was 5 years ago.

Some day I'm gonna show up and use my WC vote.

Your map doth reign supreme, Sol.

Now change Anvard so it says it's based out of Westfield, MA.
