As the cold winter months set in, and the wind and snow beat upon our homes, we turn to the hearth and our kith and kin to celebrate a successful year, remember our ancestors, and look to the coming warmth of a new year. Come spend a day filled with fighting, feasting, and festivities during this “Russian Winter”.
Our day opens with a meet and beat, pick-ups, cut throats, and a variety of scenarios to get your blood flowing. In the afternoon, we will hold a round of tourneys to help decide this year’s Yule King (or Queen). Tourneys include:
- Sword & Board
- Great Weapon
- 2man-1 dagger
- Random Draw
- 3 man Team
- Glima
The winner of each tourney gains a point towards the Yule Crown. The fighter with the most points at the end of the tourneys will be crowned Yule King at our Feast receive a decorated ‘Viking Chair’ to commemorate the event.
For those wishing to share a hearty Russian Feast with Holiday season, we offer a 3 remove feast filled with warm, delicious meals guaranteed to warm you against the cold of these Russian Nights.
1st Remove:

Cheeses
Mushroom Paste with Leek and Scorzonera
Honey Butter
Boiled Tongue with Spices
2nd Remove:
Kulebiaka
Ukha
Forshmak
3rd Remove:
Blinchiki
Red Currant Jelly
Baklava
Coffee
There is a seating cap of 40 on our feast, so please pre-reg to guarantee your spot!
Towards the end of our feast, we enjoy a revel of music, stories, and Mongolian gift giving. Our rules for the gift-giving are:
1). Gift must be wrapped or disguised in someway and be unmarked
2). Gift should be about $20; please no alcohol, this is a dry site.
3). Gift should be a Medieval-themed item
