Were using Dagorhir due to fun with blah and blah and poot, which you all understand.

However, Chicken is totally the guy running our side of the coin, so you can expect some pretty Bele friendly attitudes. Plus with weapons check being either/or (it passes in one or the other, no cross maxing) all your gear should totally pass.

This is going to be awesome and if you don't show up, you'll be missing History in the making.

Are you asking Jimmy will you be able to bash the opponents over? That's the question I would have too.

Keep in mind, this isn't a combined rules event, this is two separate events at the same place. If the Dag folks want to have a ditchline with full Dag/Bel rules, absolutely. I would imagine they would. The Amtgard ditch line will be amtgard style ditching till likely the sun comes up. It's not unusual to go hit the ditch at 1:30 AM.

I don't think they have it scheduled because historically night ditching doesn't seem to go over very well at Bel or Dag events because it's so alien. It seems to be growing in popularity though. If there is a demand for it, I'm sure it will be there. And the BEST part about ditching is, you don't need anyone to organize it for you. If you want to start a ditch, scream ditch and people will fight you. Bashing and all.

Night ditching was the best fighting I saw all week at Rag, so its not as uncommon as you would think.

I hope you do! The best possible thing that could happen would be if it were heavily supported, and then everyone that showed up this year, joins the fun for next year by way of contributing and help run it. A full on foam fighting festival would rock. There is still space to fill on the module cover for sponsoring Kingdoms. 8)

Strange. Fighting at night is normal for my Realm. We practice year round and have at least 30-45 minutes of darkness in the summer and 3 hours worth at a time in the winter each weekly practice. The most we ever have for lights is 2-3 shop lights and an extension cord.

Get out and fight at night people!

Good luck with the event, sounds fun.

I do not like night fighting. People(me) are drunk and more dangerous. I also have a hard time with depth perception in that weird half light. It does nothing to my defense, but it seems to make me throw all kinds of headshots.
I do like all the young morons being worn out when its time for the important, schedualed day battles.

Sounds like you need to work on your cardio FB. I fought every day at Rag and I fought during three or four nights as well.

My cardio is sneaking up on 40, baby.
You can't tell me you're as good after staying up all night fighting as you are after a good nights sleep.
And if you are, your in the minority. Those guys are hagard after the night fighting starts and I like it, cuz I'm not.
I'm not saying it shouldn't exsisit, I'm saying I like how it slows down the kids.

It's fun until I hit one of them in the head and hurt them because I'm drunk as hell.
Which I seem to be by about 7pm at most good events.
I mean we fight until about 5:30, go get cleaned but and washed down(this usually involves several beers and left handed ciggarettes), eat(more beers) and go have a nice social drink with whatever friends we see(and some more of them good left handed ciggarettes).
Thens it's about 7 or 8 and I'm feelin saucy.
And I only seem to hurt stupid **** young people who fight me like stupid young people. And their mothers hate me and talk **** FOR EVER about me being irresponsible and a bad influence.

Night fighting is for winners. Hardest part of Geddon for me was the usual lit ditch spot being wrecked. I really hope it catches on more as on option in future Bel events.

Can't freakin' wait for this. Hoping like hell I can go.

The closer we get, and the more I read about this, the more excited I am. Still won't know if I can go until Friday, since I need to carpool and no one knows if they can go till Friday.

This event rocked.

There were definitely some things that needed tweeking. Cross-gaming was minimal, since most Amt fighters didn't have D/B legal weapons (loaner weapons were offered, but It think most people didn't know that), and I think a lot of people were hesitant to do stuff when they didin't know the rules.

But night fighting and socializing was a super big blast, and I head a **** ton of "there's a Dag/Bele/Amt group near me... I should check that out!"

Thank you Wisp, Ducky, Chicken, MHOG and everyone else that was a part of this! My calendar is marked for next year.
