Sails appear on the horizon, led by great dragon headed prows, and studded with the shields of victory. The warriors have returned home to celebrate the turning of the year with family and friends. Here, at the dawn of the new year, we invite you to share our hearth to welcome home our Nordic kindred for "Yule 2012: A Homecoming Celebration".

Site Address: Thomas Jefferson Unitarian Church 4936 Brownsboro Rd. Louisville, KY 40222

Spend your morning warming up in scenarios inspired by various Nordic excursions throughout history, then face both your friends and enemies in a breadth of tourneys to determine our new Yule King or Queen. Tourneys include:

- 2 Man - 1 Dagger
- Single Blue
- Punch Shield & Javelin
- Random Draw
- Peasant & Blue
- Sword & Board
- Mongolian Wrestling

The top three fighters in each tourney receive points and extra points will be awarded to the fighter considered to display the “Spirit of Yule” throughout the event. The fighter with the most points at the end of the tourneys will be crowned Yule King at our Feast.

"A Homecoming Celebration" will feature tastes of the Nordic homelands to welcome our kin and guests alike to our holiday hearth. Our holiday meal will span 3 hearty courses and feature a variety of traditional and holiday foods. Remember to bring empty stomachs and don't forget to bring your feast gear, as none will be provided!

The hero Belegarth deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A Viking *.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

We, the Empire of the Wolf, take pride in our event, both in how it is run and how it looks. Therefore, we strictly adhere to the Dagorhir MOA garb rule set, and have a few additional house rules of our own.

1). We require all attendees, combatants or not, to wear at least Dagorhir minimum garb at our event, better and exceptional garb is strongly encouraged.

2). All safety equipment & logos MUST be concealed in some way, this includes knee pads, braces, sunglasses, modern/MMA gloves w/ logos, etc.

3). This is a winter event, we fight outside in the snow, DRESS IN APPROPRIATE GARB & LAYERS. We will not make concessions for obvious modern/mundane winter clothing, it can be easily concealed by/under your garb. This includes modern/mundane coats, underarmor, modern/mundane hats, or anything else that may bear a modern/mundane logo. Hoods from hoodies/sweatshirts may be visible on top of your garb, provided it bears no modern/mundane logos/prints.

4). We reserve the right to ask you to leave the event at any time, without a refund, if you fail to comply with these basic rules. NO GARB = NO FIGHTING OR FOOD.

exactly how persay am I going to cover conceal my EYES? Ill cover the straps best i can, the lenses kinda cant be covered unless you want me to fight blind. Which leads to a WHOLE lot more safety concerns.

Looks like I am not making this my birthday present to myself anymore.

*shrug* They can be hid in/under a helm with some ingenuity. Otherwise, hit up Vlad on Facebook and work it out with him.

We chose to set some standards this year and are going to stick to them.

Kiff should have pre-regged me. I just wanted to say I want the vegetarian option, to double check that he said so as well.
