a) Never heard downsword florentine called "christian" style...

b) 3'5"? As in, 41" swords?? WAY too long. Go down to 32s or 34s or 36s. You'll have much more success and get better faster.

c) Those half-downsword chumps should be way easier kills for you than regular florentiners, sword'n'board guys, spears... pretty much everyone except single blue fighters. That's such a limited style of fighting.

d) Get stab tips and USE them.

e) Where is "the crimson fields"?

left right left

When you overwhelm their offensive sword(which is what it is with one up one down) you force them on the defensive. Most people will try to block with the downsword on their right thus allowing your rightsword an easy shot in. That or they will sword block, downsword block the left and counter to your right sword. Thus giving you the easy shot on their up sword side.

Little easier to explain this in person. The will discover that using two swords up is a much better style for the majority of fighting. It allows you to be offensive with both swords. Downsword has a very few cuts and almost all of them are worthless.

Im not a great two stick fighter but this should put you off to a better chance. There will be pleanty of people once okfest is over to help you.

I'm 6'1". I like my 34s pretty good.

Good on you for stabbin' people.

Now follow Varadin's advice. The R-L-R combo is the one I throw: fake-y shot right, cut their right hand riposte out of the air with your left sword, cross to hit their right arm you with your right sword, finish 'em off.

Hahahahaha. Dude, that's awesome. You just rezzed a thread over a year old to ride people for not groaning at a pun.

And you know what, you're right. **** missed that one. Points for catching it. :D

Since it's already rezzed, I think this guy's problem was a weak left hand.
