Looking for Group... erm i mean Knight

Postby Geshtal » Thu Oct 29, 2009 10:50 am

Hello all I am looking for a knight to help me get better. I'm not looking to get squired by anyone... yet. I'm just looking for some one, preferably in the Highlands of Chaos region, who can take me under their wing and teach me some new things or help me refine what i already have. I know that the best way to get better is to fight as many good people as you can as much as you can, but i would like a vet who can watch and tell me what is is i am doing wrong and help me fix myself as a fighter. I hate limitations and I'm full of them lol
Ty for any posts concerning this

Edit: i figured that this was the best forum to put this in because it concerns my "development" as a fighter

Honestly, man, you need to start visiting realms in the area and go meet some vets in person. When you find one who's willing to teach you, then learn from him. If you two really hit it off, ask him in person. You're not going to get any real help on the boards, beyond what resources have already been posted. The best I could suggest is posting some vids of your fighting for critique.

What you're asking is a pretty large commitment, and no knight is going to offer that for someone he's never met, over the boards. Get yourself out to other realms, man. Get some face time.

Sorry if this isn't what you hoped for.

Though I am from North of you, and I am not a knight, I have been fighting for a long time. I would be more than happy to help you with your fighting, but it will likely have to be either through video, or through meeting in person at events. I know that doesn't give a lot of face time to learn, but I would do whatever I can to help you out. If you'll be at Thaw this coming season, I'll meet up with you there if you want. Or you can do like Slagar said and post up some vids.

If you don't want to do that here, put them up and tell me where to find them, I'll take a look and see what I can do to help you out.

I will be at Thaw, Manatherin, WoF, all of ebonholds mini events this next year hopefully Chaos again but my Fiance really wants me to save the money to take her to blizzcon

And i had though about posting vids sad fact tho is I have nothing to film them with ill ask the fighters around here if i can borrow a camera

To put myself in perspective I fight Ruben often and win only about 1 out of 7 fights i know thats not a good number but Ruben is epic so i figure that makes up for the loses

Edit: doesn't have to be a knight i just want more vet help

Ruben is an exceptional fighter, and that you beat him at all says something for you. Look me up, like I said, and I'll give you any advice I can.

Gesh just ask me at practice to help you. Horus has a camera we can do video with so that's not a problem. You know I can't help you if I don't know you want it.

They don't get much better than Ruben out west. If he's nearby, why not just learn from him?

If they don't take it, then it wasn't sufficient.

Considering you are at the same place as Ruben for practice you should probably just ask him to help.
You gotta wonder what's up with that guy..... it's like god spilled a person.

yea spar with ruben, and go after the people that you see at events that impress you.

I'm planning on being at CW again. you are welcome to get advice from me or any of my boys when we come. but in the mean time look to the people close to you.

ruben, BC, Bahkdar, dogboy, Elwrath, the list goes on and on.

in most cases all you need to do to get advice and help with fighting from those who care about fighting is be polite, and ask for help.

I tend to call him "Peter the Gets-Faked-Right-Out-of-His-Shoes", "Peter the 'Stache", or "Peter, the Guy Who Somehow Gets Attacked by Chicks Angry at Me."
