Cross style?

What would be a good cross style for a red fighter? i found that from the beginning of me useing a red that i am now beter able to use my left hand. i was wondering if flourentine would be a good second style for me to practice. as red fighting helps me develop the abidexterity to do it.

ive seen that one done. use the red to get past his guard and stab a few times while up close and personal

fight single short (36" and under) for a month..nothing else..only single short.
you'll notice an immense improvement

I strongly agree with the two above me about fighting single as a great baseline. I try to get at least an hour of single in every week.

in fact i do fight single blue a lot. i am much better at it than red. i have found that fighting red has given me the strength and fine muscle control to do it effectively. my neighbor who got me into belegarth only fights single blue. and we spar on a regular basis. i can now best him 7 times out of 10 single blue.

Spending about 6 months fighting lefty sword and board will for sure help you develop technique with your left hand.

You're in Dur-D, so you can comfortably go onto the field every week with basically anything and enjoy good fighting and plenty of learning opportunities. There are fighters there that have been doing basically every style in Bel for a decade or more. Ask around.

Also, I second a recommendation of single blue or small shield and sword. If you can bum a 20-24" round punch (or strap) and a 32" sword, you'll develop not quite as fast as with a single sword, perhaps, but you'll live longer on the field and learn something about how shieldfighting is done (very helpful knowledge for a budding Redsword fighter).

Yeah I highly recommend single blue, I went from sword and board to using a red, and I realized I relied way too much on my shield to live, rather than footwork and weapon blocking. So I started fighting just single blue and I have noticed improvement already.

That was Steve Rogers. He got so good, he actually didn't need a weapon anymore. He mastered the legendary No Blue style.

But then he started using punch weapons and stopped coming when he never passed a weapons check.

He was doing something with a group of Vendors (or whatever) last I heard.
