I don't understand the pvc pipes, but it looks like you guys had a great time.
And the garb situation is awesome. That's what Belegarth is suposed to look like.
Good job running a great event.

PVC Pipes were used as walls in the bridge, boat and sector control battle games.

They look dumb. And now very stable.
But it looks like the battles were fun on a bun.

They weren't very stable but they added a great aspect to many of the days battles. They were walls, they were ships, they were whatever you wanted them to be!

They were also a prototype and were being play-tested at the event. Future versions will be painted and covered with cloth. The only reason they were not was so that any issues would be seen immediately and dealt with quickly. There were a few times that it was necessary to fix on the fly and reconfigure a bit but people seemed to really have fun with them. It was really nice of the guys to make these and the event attendees to try them out.

Covered thay would look 100% better. Not a bad idea, but they need padding to be safe.

And thus they are prototypes, they worked well for the games we had and allowed us to be more inventive with the battlegames.

It was also funny how quickly a tanked up individual turned into a ballerina when confronted with a zig-zag path through them. People were on their best behavior around them which was also great to see. :D

We have a large plumbing supplier here called Great Western Supply. They have 1" thick wall pipe insulation that would work great for this. It's also pretty cheap.
This is turning into a better idea very quickly.
Padding on the surfaces that people can break themselves on and covers so they look like walls.

Except for the guy who had the $$ for a full chain hauberk but not for anything to wear under it besides blue jeans and a collared shirt

Looks like this event was a blast! * my current weekend-heavy job. I like the dynamic those barriers add to the battles. Can't wait to make it down and try them out with you all. Maybe at Weddageddon, boss willing.

Sal.... **** YOU! lol..

That thing seriously hurt. Rev passed it twice and im glad he took the time to check it the 2nd time. The thing just had no * compression. My Beaters/Clubs with one cap had the same compression.

I know right? *LOL* I didn't see him til near the end of the day, and then all I saw was chain mail. I didn't spot the jeans until watching the vids.

Anyone want to bet that chain was borrowed?

Yeah some padding would be nice. At one point the pipe was knocked into my face. I chipped my front tooth. Worst of all I broke an arrow. But the pipes were a great idea and they created a lot of fun with new and interesting new battles.

I love that a broken arrow is worse then a chipped tooth, because i know how bad those * things hurt.. My front tooth has a permante filling all the way up to the Gum line.. It hurt so badly.
