I recently went through updating my YouTube channel and found a bunch of old gold that had been locked away. This spans from Headhunter trials to old school Iowa footage and even Chaos Wars Litter Ball Games.

Enjoy!

Hey Bhakdar, I hope all is well with you!

I was wondering if you still had footage from Gorlock vs Tiji/myself. I can't remember which trial it was but I know it was at Monty bell.

Yeah, this is one of my favorite trials I've ever designed. Xiao- you and Tigi enter at 2:35.

Mekoot Gorlock's Defensive Gauntlet: The concept is to defeat four sets of pairs, all equipped with high-offense weaponry. A "stone stairs" model is used that forces him to vanquish foes while maintaining defensive composure. Gorlock must defeat a pair without losing any limbs in order to eliminate the pair entirely from the trial. If he beats a pair advancing to the next and then is defeated, he must return to the previous pair. A hard * trial, well fought. The video highlights 15 minutes of footage from more than 90 minutes of combat.

So much fun to watch. Can I ask the way this was played? It says he eliminates a pair if he gets them without taking losses, but he returns to the previous pair if he looses the match. If he eliminates a pair from the rotation and then looses, does he go to that pair? or is that pair now gone so he goes to the previous pair he could not get without limb loss? And he is advancing each time he survives the match, correct?

Thank you so much for posting and for any info!

If he beats a pair without losing any limbs, they're completely gone from the trial.

If he beats a pair but was injured, they are still in the trial and he would 'slide back' to them as soon as he would lose to the next pair (simo is re-do).

It played out such that he essentially had to eventually beat all pairs in a match that he sustained no injury. Which is pretty ridiculous imo considering the pairs. Given the goal is to solidify defense and self-preservation strategy, it works.
