Does anyone keep good enough track of participation and injuries that they can give some numbers on how safe fighting is? This article gives a fair amount of numbers on soccer: http://bjsm.bmj.com/content/38/2/168 - I'd like to be able to say with some amount of confidence whether our fighting is as safe.

I saw someone did a survey on the incidence of concussions in our sport a while back, but I don't think there's any other centralized way of tracking injuries at this point.
