Facilities

Having never been to ARM before, I had a couple of practical questions -

1. Water. Is there a ready supply for things like cleaning one's face in the morning, water for coffee, etc? Even a river or creek is fine, provided it's not horribly horribly polluted. I gotta have a face splash to wake up properly and shave.

2. Fire. For cooking and making coffee. Are there firepits already? Can we make them? Is it permitted at all? No electricity is no problem if fire is allowed.

Possibly others to come... I just want to have all of my bases covered.

(This is comming from memory after not being at Forest Glen for 3 years, someone correct me if I'm wrong.)

1. Water. There's a well pump in main camp. I always take a few gallons from in town for misc purposes, cooking, ect. But it's usually pretty plentiful.

2. Fire. The way the camp ground is set up, there is main camp that is sectioned off into individual camps, then there are several "group camp sites" that are often just the right size for a unit or realm further down the road. Each one of these is equiped with it's own fire ring, main fire has the huge bonfire fire ring, and then several individual size ones.

Some premptive strikes on questions you might have:

Showers do exist! They are a hike (read- drive) up the road, in the main part of the campground, but it could be far worse.

Wood- aside from the usual dead wood already on the ground being okay, there is usually wood provided at the main fire pit in limited quantities.
