idea for a total war game for friday.

number line

4---3---2---1---0---1---2---3---4

ok so it starts with a basic random split of teams by token color. the battles take place and the winning team advances one space, which then changes the next battle. Now if a team wins 2 in a row they lose 5 players. If they lose by alot they will lose 5 hero type players, if it is real close they will lose players of more average skill, heralds will determine. if a team loses 3 in a row they gain 10 players. again the skill of those players depend on the sevarity of the loss. the battles will continue to move one slot forward or back and change the battles accordingly.
the first battle is at the 0 position.

battle 0 = a basic open field line battle, teams line up 30 yards apart and the last team standing advances.

battle 1 = a restricted feild battle, one that would incure in a city( city field permitting), as you would be moving through thew city to get to a castle.

battle 2 = castle battle, you must gain entry in a time limit the gates are closing to the castle.you must kill all the enemies in a specific time limit. the attacking team has regen point, defending does not. the time will be 3 minutes. It may be adjusted.

battle 3 = a bridge battle, everybodies favorite. lava for edges= no wading through. get your pole arms ready. winner advances.

battle 4 = kill the monarch, each team elects a king, keep them alive. Regen point for both teams, timed for 10 minutes. if you can defend for 10 minutes the defending team wins. if you can kill the defending monarch in the time allowed your team is the winner. if the attacking team loses thier monarch they lose the battle.

is it workable, or am i wastine my time.
it is ok rip it apart i don't want to have a suck event, lets hear it.

I'd probably change it to water instead of lava and allow people to wade through. One of the things about bridge battles is that you have anywhere from 5-10 people on each side who are actively engaged while everyone else is waiting around for something to happen. Maybe you can set up some additional smaller bridges as well as letting people wade across...

depending on team size i plan on having 3 bridges.

one large type bridge 10 paces wide, maybe 2 of these.
then a narrow 2 pace wide bridge, this is where all the fun happens.
lava is necessary for heralds to call dead all those that fall off the bridge.
i prefer lava cause it forces people to push through the center.

like this

_________

bridge
_________

_________
_________bridge

_________

bridge

I would make one big bridge and two smaller bridges. If you have two big one, the small bridge will just be ignored. unless you have some way of "forcing" people to us the small center bridge. just my $.02

Other then that sounds fun! a good twist to everyones favorite battle. i.e "two big teams"

This looks like it was from last year. But, it was a good game.

Yah, it was from last year.

And I don't think I've ever seen a team ignore a bridge in a bridge battle. Might as well just turn around and let them hit you in the back.
