Is Armageddon Newbie friendly?

Postby Shcriby » Mon Dec 10, 2007 8:04 pm

Is Armageddon Newbie friendly? I want to bring some of my friends who would be new to the sport. I know at oktoberfest they had a couple of things to aid the newbies but would there even be a thought about that at Armageddon?

If there is an Armageddon this year I am sure it would be fine. how ever as of right now no realm has volunteered to run it.

Cost and community preference for dates.

Dur-D would do it, but it would likely keep us from running Beltaine.

Cost is a HUGE factor...

No smaller group can run it, they can only help aid.
Larger groups normally have something they like to host, so that takes time out of their stuff.

I know that Beornve in the Quad Cities, IA/IL had our mini event, and we went into the ground with cost. We even planned to have extra at first! Attendance is a huge factor, and we had two dozen people show is all. This year will be better (since no events outside of Belegarth are planned as of yet), and we still had a blast even though not many showed!

Any ideas or willing takers will come forth within the next month or so I am sure!

Unlike groups running their own events, you do get compensated for certain things by Belegarth.
