just spent all day saturday and half of sunday working on the armegeddon site. it is going to be great. there are at least 15 perfect camp sites around, probibly 30, really good ones, all close to the field, cause the field in in the middle. the field is big and pretty flat.
it has a lake and a river. lots of trees and shade.
we have showers, water, and eltricity all right there. also with a large 30x50 pavilion to cook feast at. so rain is not a problem.
i cannot wait to get back and get more done.

Except for the monster who lives at the bottom, though I've heard he can be friendly if he's not hungry.

It's clean water? If so, that would be so amazing. I've grown up with being told "don't jump in the water, it's polluted" all my life being so close to the city and people.

The lake is swimmable. it's about 12 feet deep in the middle and is fed by a spring, i hear. there is a small beach as well.

Here are the pictures. Thank you Kyrian for taking them so I didn't have to for a change.
I encourage everyone to come to Armageddon and enjoy this site. It is a great place and is only going to get better. Ask me at Armageddon how you can volunteer to help at the park this summer.
This first one is the entrance to the park. It is on the north side of Suydam Rd.
This is the lake and it is tested every two weeks by state officials to make sure it is safe. Bring your swimsuit!
Another shot of the lake. Behind the lake is a good size area for camping. Beyond the trees is Indian Creek.
This is a shot of the road that leads to the camping area beyond the lake and to the left is the fighting field.
The fighting field. This field will be used until the larger one is cultivated which should be by Octoberfest.
The following few shots are random pics of the forested area near the field. There are some mobile homes that are currently being hauled away since they are pretty old and torn up.
The future fighting field. It really is HUGE!
The next two pictures are of one of two very large barns that still need work but should be up and running by next year or so. They are awesome indeed.
The pavillion near the lake.
The shower house which is right next to the pavillion.
There you go. I remind you all to come to Geddon and have fun at the new site. There is plently of room for everyone and I hope to see you there.

I worked with Kegg a couple of weeks ago at the site and it's looking to be kick * this year. Looks to be a really good Belegarth site. As far as the pond goes, it's safe to swim in, but I don't think it will be a very "clean" swim (lots of algae!).
Also, they plan on cleaning the hell out of the bathrooms by 'Geddon, but as of now, they are not pretty. Not pretty at all...

After all these pics of how great the site looked I kind of want to go out and see it. Would that be allowed for those of us who live near (>15 min) from the site?

Sure, I don't see why not. In fact a few of us will be there this weekend and you could always come and help out. *hint hint*
We should be there by late morning on Saturday and will leave Sunday afternoon. If you want to just show up and take a look at the site at a different time just stop at the camp store and they can direct you.

Site Update-
the beach is looking better every day. we're slowly working on re-claiming and weeding the whole area. one of the barns is completely cleared out, and we'll be working on that this weekend.
Anyone who wants to come out and help is more than welcome to.

This will be my first event, so I have a question that may seem rather dumb.
Can I just arrive, pay for registration, and find a spot to set up my tent? Or do I need to register with the park for it?

It is what you have first stated. The realm usually rents out the site ( or in this case, owns it) for the simple matter that you don't have to deal with the "real" park people. Just go, pay, set-up, fight, drink, sleep, leave (on Sunday that is ^_^)
