Training classes at Geddon

Postby Kyrian » Mon Jun 09, 2008 12:20 pm

I know it's short notice but would anyone be interested in some training classes at Geddon? I was looking at holding five:

1) Basic sword and board.

2) Florentine.

3) Archery.

4) Weapon checker.

5) Missile checker.

I'd probably be looking at 1-2 hour (at most) blocks for each. The weapon checker and missile checker classes will probably not be that long. I'll post training outlines within the next couple of days if people are interested in the classes. Ideally, I'd like them to not interefere with fighting but that leaves very small windows, typically right after weapons check and after the day's fighting but before feast. The latest information will be posted at Troll no later than Thursday.

I would be interested in both checking classes. Would be nice to know the basics of those two things.

I'd be interested in all except archery. And thats because I dont have enough cool points to be an archer. Or was it money?

My plan right now is to have these sometime during/after weapon check has taken place so that we'll have actual examples to use. The templates and scale should be there.

I'd like to do the the weapons check classes. It always helps to be able to know if your weapon is going to pass or not before you submit it to a weapons checker.

That has a nice ring to it. Can I copyright that? :D

To those who are planning on attending the fighting classes, I would ask that you try and bring the equipment needed, i.e., sword and board, two swords, or a bow and a few arrows. Thanks.

I would love to brush up on basics. I need it.

And learning to do weapons checks would make me more useful to my realm. (Now I'm just the old man they like to hit.)

Not yet. I'll have the days, times, and locations posted at Troll when Troll opens tomorrow.

I'll try and get the training outlines out here today before I head down to the site tonight.
