Hey fighters. Rogue Company Productions will be hosting not one but two classes at Armageddon XI. If you enjoy swinging stick and want to learn, come hit 'em up. Everyone is welcome!

Friday morning *:30; taught by an as yet unselected Rogue (possibly me)
Single Sword 101: Back to Basics and Drills

A repeat of our original production, this class will follow the syllabus designed by Warlords Spynthrift N'than and Peter the Quick, and emphasizes fundamental concepts of single sword fighting such as: grip, hand-matching, stance, and the ten shots. If we have time, we'll also go over some of the most popular and effective drills for upping your single sword game. This class will be aimed both at new fighters who haven't seen the material and are interested in learning fundamentals, as well as at veterans who've already been through this class and want to review.

Saturday morning *:30; taught by Slagar
Single Sword 102: Advanced Concepts and Q&A

This class is designed for folks who have taken RC's fundamentals course (either the day before or in the past), and are wondering what to do with it next. "I know how to throw a flat wrap, now when/where/why do I do it?"
This class is going to start out structured a little more loosely, as more of a Q&A session. This will serve to highlight common issues with the application of fighting fundamentals, and to introduce a handful of advanced concepts. Concepts covered will include: Range/measure, baiting, reading, and planning your fight.

Slagar, I am going to throw this onto the Armageddon Special Event Information Page, and into the general schedule. Should people sign up somewhere (troll?) or just show up?

No signup is necessary. Just bring a passing sword.

At the pavilion/bathhouse area. If the weather is nice, we'll spread out from under it onto the grass around it.

Actually, does anybody know if they've finally booted merchant's row back out of there?

Not official, obviously, but they can be asked to move. She readily agreed before.

Well, here's hoping the weather is nice enough that we don't all need to be under roofs friday and saturday. But yeah, pavilion.

I am not sue about merchants in the pavilion atm. But I will put your location as the pavilion. Other non schedule related question, has anyone thought of filming these classes and tossing them up on youtube or the BeleWiki? It might be something to think about.

They're already up. Look for "Sword Knight Boot Camp" and you'll have the same stuff that Slagar will be teaching.

The syllabus for the 101 is the one already used by peter and spyn for their skbc class.

I'm writing up the syllabus for the 102 class. I'll be happy to post it once it's finished. If anyone cares to film the 102, that'll be new material. There are already better versions of the 101 video running around online, as Caleidah said.
