Anticipated number of particpants and other such questions

Postby Huntrava » Tue May 08, 2012 9:04 pm

Hello!

I've been off the Belegarth bandwagon for almost a decade, but I noticed Armageddon will be only a few hours from where I'm spending the summer. Since its been forever, I wanted to know how many people you anticipate will attend this year. Also, in the past I always attended with a group, but I don't have one any longer. Are there going to be any opportunities for wildcards to get to know each other?

Last year I believe there were 400? Someone feel free to correct me.

As for meeting people, outside of camp wandering, there will be feasts, tourneys, Sin Night, a slave auction, and a number of other things. We're always glad to have Westerners visit. If you hit any snags, be sure to hunt myself or Tails down. We're both Clan of the Hydra, and just about any camp you ask in, they can point you in the right direction.

To add to that, you can pretty much camp anywhere that isn't already camped in. Some groups would even welcome you to set up with them, so just ask.

There will definitely be groups of random people assembled for the battles that are based on groups (units/realms), so you shouldn't have a problem finding people to hang out and fight with at all.

as for getting to know people, yes, tons of chances.

things to do, help at troll, help at weapons check, or with feasts. even if you have limited experiance there are things to help out wiht at each area i listed. stickering passing weapons is easy and requires only that you be alive and have workign arms. same with feast prep. not dont be too offended if people dont warm up instantly, often times poeple are clicky at events, they have the people they know and in general have met too many douches at events to be overly welcoming. public areas are generally good places to han g out, introduce yourself, let people know you are not from the area and want to get to know peopel.

camps that are pretty welcoming, hydra camp, introduce yoruslef and be respectful, that is all we ask.

dregoth camp, they love new peopel, but they will likely ask you to petition, just state your descision and they are fine with it.

there are are a bunch of realm camps around too, so just make some friends and see what goes. remember to try and camp in the shade, the star nearest to us heats up at 7 am, it can be a bit offensive at that hour.

The best way to get to know people is to help like Bo said! Plus helping is fun!

I'm no stranger to hard work, and I'd love to help out in any way possible. What are the channels for volunteering? My schedule is free from June 6-9th, but my national guard annual training starts the 10th.

Looking forward to meeting yall.

There are other threads on in this section that say troll schedule or herald schedule, just post there when you want to help...or talk to Tails, Bo, or I

Great, thanks for the response. I'm planning on being there. Only issue now is finding a bow...anyone going to be selling one?
