New Realm Looking for Weapon Seller

Postby Thorongil » Thu Sep 28, 2006 10:34 am

I've started a club/realm at my school and we're in need of a lot of weapons.....the college dorm life doesn't like foamsmithing, so we're looking for someone selling a lot of weapons.

We're basically looking for swords and maybe some javelins. Prices? Sizes?

go to www.edhellen.com
but a few sword kits
it's a very easy, straightforward process
you save money and get the satisfaction of making your own sword

either way, good luck!

I have homemade weapons, just not enough of them. Like I said, dorm life doesn't lend well to foamsmithing, or at least the caliber that I'd rather do than the slop we'd end up with if we tried at school.

I'd go to Edhellen anyway, they're top notch. Plus they have bulk deals.

Very true Edhellen has very good stuff.

Also try using carpet tape to hold the foam to the core and foam to foam. It works very well if you use the Duck brand. Make sure to get the "Indoor/Outdoor" kind.

My point is that it makes weapon making easier and faster. Plus you can do it inside.

If you're going to make all-tape swords, find molly (she's around there somewhere ;) and cruise some hardware stores with her. There's a no-name brand of carpet tape that you guys should be able to find (and that she'll know) that comes in a blue and white box with a dated looking picture of someone laying down carpet next to an outdoor pool that's 10x better than duck brand and is what you want for doing the core layer. The tape is black, thick, and smooth.

*, I wish I had a digital camera.

Anyway, that stuff is the **** - if you find it you should be able to make good glue free weapons in the dorms no problem :).

I agree, Tape does make it faster and easier to build. Also it is easier to make repairs, I would still recomend gluing the box to the core though, I have friends where they will go through an all tape sword in one hit and it needs to be fixed, but if no one hits extremely hard it should be fine. also, I have many weapons laying around i could sell, they arn't edhellen quaulity but they have lasted at least 2 months with no probloms and i have one going for a year of heavy use. If you are ever in the Chicago aria I could probobly get you a few, 5 or more. I am in the process of arming a few new members in my groupe too.
