Garb For Sale

I have just started making some new garb this year and I will be coming to Thaw Brawl with a good amount for sale. I took some pics of the stuff I made this weekend...the pics aren't great but it should give you an idea.
Please let me know if you want something made a little more custom for you. Tunics/pants are $15, tabards are $10...skirts are $25 and I am working on some bellydancing stuff right now but no pics yet
Only thing that would raise the price is if you wanted more trim or very specific stuff that costs more :p
Herald's jacket instead of a tabard or tunic
I was really bummed with this pic...the fabric is more of a chocolate color than it looks in here. It sorta looks like a jersey but irl it is a very nice tunic with a sort of celtic flare I think.

I am giving myself a little bump here for a couple of reasons. First reason is that Chaos Wars is fast approaching and if you would like anything made between now and then...please PM me so I can get working on it. Second reason is that I recently lost my job so it would be awesome to craft some garb for people to fill in that void
I've had a couple of requested items that are done and will be posting pictures of soon. If you have something in mind that you would like and I don't have a pic of it up here...PM me about it and I can probably make it anyway. If I can't I will let you know right away.

Well, I just started, so I'm having a friend help sew together my first garb so i can get good measurements and fit, then I'll probably PM her later on this summer when I need some high quality garb and know what kind of fit I'll want.

Here is a jacket I just got done for Dash....hard to tell since the image is so bright but the trim is yellow satin and the sleeves are white satin. I still need to get the belt done but the colors are supposed to be in theme with Chaos this year.
One of these days I am going to break down and just buy a mannequin that I can put the garb on for better pictures :p

Ok people!!! I have had a couple more people contact me about garb and the dead line for Chaos is getting close
If you want something made in time for Chaos please please please get in touch with me in the next two days so I can be sure to have time to get it done.
I will have extra items with me for sale at Chaos (tunics, tabards, harem pants, skirts and so on) so don't worry if you didn't order anything specific but still want to pick something up.
I didn't make any Soo Ma Tie's this year so if you want one of those tell me now and I will make you one.
Thanks to everyone who ordered stuff!!!!

I sold just about my entire stock of garb at Chaos Wars but I do have a few tunics left over if people are interested. I'm still working on a couple of request pieces but feel free to PM me if you want something made specific.
I was so excited to see Dash get nominated for Best Garb at Chaos while wearing the feast jacket I made

I actually got that trim at JoAnne's Fabrics...only suck part about them is what is in stock one day, isn't always in stock the next. Its one of those places you just have to check every now and then....they usually have something cool

hey juniper, on ryu's and Soo Ma Tai's jackets did you have a pattern you use or did you just measure, cut and sew?

Just measured, cut and sewed. I can't read a pattern to save my life and sleeves were something I figured out how to do this spring :p

FREAKING WEWT!!!!
Finally got the embroidery machine up and running!!! You guys have no idea how excited I am about this
The machine has 225 pre-programed stitches already and I may pick up the part I need to program more.
I will stitch up some stuff for examples and post pics on here very soon but now I can make a whole plethora of things I couldn't make before.....like special made sashes for "Herald of the Week" or "Event Champion" or what ever.
I'll have examples up soon!

I've had a lot of people ask for prices so I am posting a price list. Keep in mind that all prices are subject to change if you want extras and so on :p
Tunics - $20
Pants - $20
Tabards -$15
Hakama - $50
SooMaTie's - $20
Bags - $5
Banners - depends on size and detail :p
Sashes - $15
If you want exceptional trim for your garb it will cost a little extra.
If you want a symbol airbrushed onto your garb it will also cost a little extra. (send pic for quote)
If you want sashes with wording like "Event X Champion" or something it will cost a little extra...maybe $5 unless you want crazy cool thread and then maybe $7
I have an embroidery machine so wording and specific trim can be done with little trouble.
Basic Hakama are 2 yards of fabric per leg...if you want more yardage I can do it for more cost :p

what kind of cloth do you use?

for tunics and tabards I generally use a standard broadcloth..or a heavier cotton if I can get it cheap. Pants I always find a heavier material for. For feast jackets this year I used taffeta and a poly blend. Really, just depends on what I am doing, who I am making it for and what they are using it for.

I have had some people ask if I make garb for kids and now I have some pics for your viewing pleasure
Our daughter, Ulari (7), in a black tunic trimmed in red and a brown skirt.
My niece, Kiya (6), in a green tunic trimmed in a variegated green trim.
My nephew, Kaydan (5), in a brown tabbard trimmed in white and gold.

Just thought I'd drop in and mention that I'm really happy with the garb I had commissioned.
I would definitely recommend working with Juniper. She was very patient when we had issues with a check getting returned to sender and when it looked like I wouldn't be able to get it shipped to my home in time for Okfest, she FedExed it out to Illinois so I could pick it up at the site. Not to mention it looks and wears great.

I've had a number of people message me about garb and I have been a little out of commission lately. Sorry! It'll be a few weeks before I can start sewing again but if you are looking for something let me know

Hey guys....anyone who wants garb for Chaos Wars should start messaging me now so I have enough time to get it done

Since posting the link is easier than posting all the pics...here it is:
http://s3.photobucket.com/albums/y74/SooMaTai/Garb/This should give you an idea of the stuff I can make and maybe some inspiration for something you want.
This has most of the garb I have made recently though I haven't taken any pics of the cloaks I have made. The recent additions to the page are things that I will be bringing to Chaos for sale...if you see something you want please don't hesitate to ask me if it is still for sale before Chaos as it will likely be gone after that.
I have a few pieces in work now so send me a message if you want something made

) but if you are coming to Chaos Wars I will have a HUGE stock of garb for sale there. I'm not taking any more commissions for Chaos Wars now but if you would like something made after the event lemme know!
