Quarterstaff?

see i find that Edhelen sells quarterstaffs with only a strike surface. i would like a customized quarterstaff like they have made with a striking and stabbing surface on it... i saw that it was around 70 bucks... i was thinking 80 would fit.... 85 at most.. lets see what i get in reply...

a) Where do you live and what events will you be attending in the immediate future? Shipping on something the size of a Bel-standard Q-staff (if there can be said to be such a thing...) will likely be significant (~$30+).

b) Why would you want to pay 85 dollars (plus shipping!) for a quarterstaff?! It's widely considered one of the least capable weapons in the entire sport and you could easily score a good punch shield and a decent bluesword for that price.

c) If you DO want to fight with a quarterstaff, I highly recommend that you train up your foamsmithing skillz, order a 6.5' bandshoppe pole, and build it yourself, customized just right to fit your height, reach, armspan, grip, etc.
