Want to buy D&D Books:

Postby Sir Par » Sun Jan 02, 2011 6:57 pm

So these are the books I need to have ALL the 3.5 D&D books. If anyone has these and they were looking to get rid of them please let me know. I'm especially looking for a Magic Item Compendium and a Spell Compendium.

3.5 Core books:
Planar Handbook
Sandstorm
Races of the Dragon
Dragon Magic
Complete Mage
Monster Manual V
Rules Compendium
Elder Evils

Forgotten Realms:
Unapproachable East

Well I do have some of these books on CD that I could either e-mail to you if my e-mail will or send you copies of the CD's if interested.

I don't know why you'd rather have a collection that you need a truck to move, over every book printed on a USB flash drive.

Because PDFs aren't collectible.

I have all the pdfs too as well as probably everyone who plays D&D and knows the internets. But I still prefer to have a book in front of me when I play/character generation.

I do too, but I have never found an advantage to having the book or books in front of my rather then me laptop.

The first thing people say is "It's easier to flip from one part of the book to another and back."

That's what bookmarks are for in a PDF.

I am old. I like books. I don't want to have a laptop in front of me when I game. I want a book. It's just a personal preference.

I have them all on PDF. I prefer the books in almost every case. I also have a comprehensive table of contents that Crystal Keep put out, so I can search, and it will tell me what book its in. Books are easier to pass around to prove a point too! But yes I'm collecting them, and I actually need far less books than the original post. I will edit it to reflect recent purchases.

Its the bottom of two bookshelves actually. The shelves above that are all filled with forgotten realms novels and philosophy textbooks.

I guess that's what it usually boils down to. Some people prefer the book. Seems silly to me but if that's how you wanna do it I can't stop you.
