This is a list of all the scales i would recommend. While i can do custom designs, i cringe every time someone orders scales that i know won't be easy to lace in leather. There is a reason i only use The Basic style personally. I designed The Basic specifically for leather so that you don't end up with four layers of 12oz leather in the corners. With metal scales, overlap is not an issue and is in fact how the armor is designed to work. However with leather, overlap becomes an issue. The Basic completely eliminates that problem.
This is a sample of the basic pattern i use for all my armor. I very very very highly recommend you go with this scale pattern unless you have a really good idea of what you are doing with the scales.
All orders will be filled based upon leather availability. The prices on leather range a great deal during the year and we buy when its low, not when its high. This allows us to keep prices down. Sometimes this means a turn around of a week or two, sometimes a month. I will give you an estimated time frame when you purchase.
Paypal is preferred, and the email is kade2187@gmail.com
Payment up front required for all batches.
If using Paypal please add the 3%.
Suits of Lamellar Armor
The leather i work with is 12 - 14oz, and is first case hardened, and then acrylic hardened in a multi-step process. Please note that it is not heat hardened. The result of acrylic finishing is that each scale is very stiff, but still has some give to it individually, so when struck with a rattan they give a little instead of cracking.
Price Range:
Chest piece ranges from $300 - $500 depending on size.
Shoulders range from $100 - $200 depending on size.
Thigh / Skirt protection ranges from $200 - $300 depending on size and length.
These are some samples of the armor i offer. The pattern is something i worked up on the computer, but the pattern and shape could be altered for custom work if so desired. I can also do any color (within reason) on the scale, and any lacing color commercially available.
Most of my previous work is on my facebook page provided here:

Almost exclusively i have done work for the major boffer groups out there, dag, bel, and now i am making armor for the SCA.
