Yes, they break, often. Stepped on, broken, it's just one of those things.

doing archery right in bell is expensive. nothing more frustrating than having 1/2 your arrows get broke during their fist event. your going to spend a minimum of $15.00 per arrow.

The shafts are $1-3 each, depending on type, and the materials to make the heads cap out at about $3, and you can expect to get them for less if you're not depending on premade kits. I'd say $4 per arrow, plus about $50 for a good bow - and if you already have the bow, so much the better.

That's because you build your own and use either highly discounted or less than optimal shafts. If it works for you, great. But having access to that cheap of materials that won't be a hazard on the field is not the norm.

This guy isn't making his own arrows. He is wanting to buy them pre-made because he can't make his own. What you're not factoring in is time/labor and the amount of skill required to make arrows that are good enough to sell.

15$ per arrow is reasonable. I'm still attempting it on my own but it's still not working out well. I have two bows, one of which is safe for this, a 35 pound draw recurve.

This is by far your best option unless you have no time and money to burn.

Find Fitz Caliston on facebook or PM him here. He makes arrow kits that will fly better than 90% of arrows out there and sells them cheap.

His kits are a bit more $ then FF but worth it. Tech is better IMO and they do fly a bit hotter I've found. Good stuff.

Pretty good bow that I recently purchased. Was about twelve bucks cheaper two weeks ago. It's ambidextrous, and rings can be added to the string for cheap (cost me $2 to get it done at the local archery store).
