arrows and quiver?

Postby Voodoo » Mon Apr 09, 2012 10:54 pm

Does anyone have premade arrows and/or a quiver they wish to sell??

Off topic, but slightly on topic, I've noticed you posting about a LOT of stuff, and I'm happy that you are as pumped about this as most of the people here, but you might be better off in the long run, by getting good at one thing, then progressing to the next, instead of getting all ADD and getting all the weapon combinations. That's my advice, take it or leave it.

Related to Tails's post: Start with sword and shield for a while.

I wanna ness around with every type of weapon so I can use any and everything, I already know how to use a sword, and the shield I don't care Much for. I wanna use a single blue and a bow and a bow and arrows. I'd rather get the hang of the weapons I wanna use compared to ones ill only use if I drop mine. Ya kno? :axed:

I think, you think you know how to sword n board, but thinking you know and knowing are two completely different things. Also, the only weapon you will most likely use if you drop yours is a single sword. Don't let me get you down, it was just a suggestion. If you truly feel comfortable with SnB go for it, but it doesn't look like you've been fighting for very long.

Lol, I haven't been, aside from fighting pretend ninjas in my living room with nerf swords, lol. Ive only been to 2 practices. I'm decent with a shield, I just don't like em too much. I'd rather get single blue and archery down cuz that's what I wanna fight with. From playin videogamesall my life I have pretty good reflexs lol. Feel like I can block more with a sword then a sheild, which proally isn't true, its just what im comfertable with. :knight:

I'll give you the same piece of advice that was given to me:

Even if you want to use something else eventually, start S&B. The majority of the game uses S&B, and the best way to learn how to beat them is to learn how they think.

Talk to the people in your realm. Believe it or not, the Dunharrow guys know what theyre doing and have seen many new people come into the game. They also would know where to acquire arrows and a quiver from.

I'll echo what everyone else here has said. Start sword and board. Then once you know how to fight the way we fight, you can pick up something else, but nothing will ever be as useful as a shield. Even when I arch, I have my shield on my back, and my archery can very quickly become S&B.

If you don't want to take our advice, then go ahead and pull out a red for a few practices. When you die every match by being steamrolled by a guy with a shield before you can really do anything, you'll start to miss those shields you don't care for, and will realize that learning the basics of fighting first is more important than fighting with something supercool.

Oft times, a new player has this idea in his head of what he thinks combat should be like, and has his ambitions to make it that way. But try as you might, your katana or bo staff or great axe will never be as practical or as efficient as a sword and shield, and if you really want to be a competitor, you'll learn that practicality is better than badassery, as well as the fact that the two do not have to be interchangable.

Don't take this as discouragement. If you have to figure it out, go on and have fun. But there are some seasoned players on here giving you advice that will make you better, faster. It is in your best interest to listen.

Happy fighting. :)

Kid wants to play with a wonky style, let him. Getting it out of their system keeps noobs from feeling all oppressed if/when they finally switch over. Not everyone is gonna be a sword and boarder. If he decides he's tired of getting hit and wants a shield, he'll make one. If he prefers to arch, he'll arch. He just asked where to buy stuff, not for your fighting philosophies.

If he doesn't like the advice, he doesn't have to take it. No one will force him and no one is holding him to it. But I'm not going to keep from trying to help new players a little bit simply because I wasn't asked.

The other posts have covered his question pretty well.
